I love him. Not ‘loved’, because I still do and will until the day that I become a past tense person.

You know that kind of love: the stomach convulsing, heart compressing, lung deflating, throat wrenching feeling. The feeling of being so utterly involved with someone, so totally and inevitably in love with someone, the prospect of ‘forever’ simply doesn’t feel enough.
How waking up to their nectar breath and their hot fingers placed on your bare waist, tracing the curve like the hills on a map, will never seem enough. And how you will to be closer to them - to know every single, unimportant detail of their life. Sex doesn’t seem intimate enough or having them inside you isn’t the closest you can be.
How watching their fingers curve and extend when they’re eating and how their eyes flicker from your eyes to your lips like they are watching a fast-paced action film, simply fascinates you.
The constant longing, the prolonged wishing to spend your lives together, to create a home, and a family, to get married and just to forget the years in between now and forever because they seem unimportant.
I just want you everyday for the rest of my life, and if this is not so. May the blanket of night swallow me whole.

amber, have you ever thought of becoming a writer? I have yes, and seeing as I’ve had a drastic career change idea, I’m considering becoming a freelance writer in the future…possibly. Why, do you think I should give it a go? x |
